My brother recommended Denis Leary’s No Cure For Cancer as another comedy album to go along with Steven Wright’s I Still Have A Pony. The Steven Wright album is better.

Denis Leary is hysterical, but many of the jokes about drinking and drugs are juvenile. The best part was Rehab when he talks about his book, Shut The Fuck Up by Dr. Denis Leary. I’d like Dr. Marty to read that book and follow it’s advice. Also, that’s the skit that has the quote, “life sucks, get a fucking helmut.”

To quote Denis Leary:

That’s the name of my new book, Shut The Fuck Up by Dr. Denis Leary. A revolutionary new form of therapy. I’m going to have my patients come in.

“Doctor?”

“Shut the fuck up! Next!”

“I don’t feel so…”

“Shut the fuck up! Next!”

“He made me feel so much better about myself, you know? He just told me to shut the fuck up. Nobody had ever told me that before. I feel so much better now.”
